This page provides a guide to the cost of shipping your purchase to you. We only pass on the actual costs to you, they are high enough without us taking a margin as well!  Customs duties and other charges, if levied, are up to you. Remember, some items need very extensive (and so, heavy) packaging to protect them if they are fragile.

The shopping basket system calculates the shipping cost of your order based on the method you choose; this should be used as a guide price, if the actual cost is less we pass on the saving and if it is more we email you for your approval before processing the order.

United Kingdom

We use Parcelforce, Royal Mail or DHL

• Many items are light enough to fall within postal rates and we use First Class post when this is possible.
• Packages up to 1Kg cost £4.45, Over 1Kg we send by DHL for £8 to any mainland address
• High value items will be sent Special Delivery unless you advise us to the contrary

EEC  

• Once again, we use the mail service where possible
• The small package service is used for packages weighing less than 2 Kg and is very cost effective.
• For heavier packages we use Parcelforce International Standard; the costs vary with location but a guide price is 2.5Kg  £21.00

Rest of Europe  

• The small package service is used for packages weighing less than 2 Kg and is very cost effective.
• For heavier packages we use Parcelforce International Standard; the costs vary with location but a guide price is 3Kg  £30.25

USA and Canada

• Where possible we use regular airmail
• The small package service is used for packages up to 2Kg (about 4½ lbs.). 1lb. costs about £5.56
• Airfreight costs using Parcelforce International Standard are unbelievable (extortionate!) for quite small packages:      
• 2 Kg (about 4½ lbs.) costs £29.05
• Surface freight takes 4 - 6 weeks

Far East and Australasia

• The small package service is used for packages up to 2Kg (about 4½ lbs.). 1Kg costs £11.32
• Small Package (surface) costs £5 for 1Kg anywhere in the world
• Where possible we use regular airmail, surface freight takes about 35 to 45 days to deliver.
• Parcelforce International Standard  Airfreight is used for heavier packages - 2Kg costs £51.15

Rest of the World

• Once again we will use regular post, if you have access to other means of shipping (including having a friend carry it for you) please let us know and we will try and accommodate you.
• Most countries are served by the Small Packet service and 1 Kg costs  £11.32
• Parcelforce International Standard Airfreight is used for heavier packages - 2 Kg £51.15
• Some countries are not advised for sending packages; if you are aware of problems with shipping to you then it may be of help to have the items shipped to an alternative location. Please email us and we will try to help.
